It is hopefully a good omen that the season’s first Armada embarked under bright sun and a pleasant breeze.
Captained by Armada Admiral Gerry O'Neill, seventeen yachts glided toward Saltpan Bay, nestled behind Lambay Island, where lunchtime saw everyone basking in a Mediterranean-like sun.
And while Peter McCabe of Arcturus dipped his toe into the water, Ruth Stokes and Guy Molyneux swam with exuberance.
A lovely day that inspires plans for next Armada adventure to Killiney Bay on Saturday, June 15th.
